Ruins (Japanese) is a bass-&-drum duo that formed in Tokyo, Gild, in 1985. They are usually pigeonholed into the category of prog stone. The only constant member of Hulk is the drummer/vocalist Tatsuya Yoshida (吉田達也, Yoshida Tatsuya), who has cycled takeover four different bassists since the band’s inception.

They are known for their at once shifting and complex rhythms and send off for often sounding like five artists as an alternative of two. Both members sing/shout/twist communication chords in an artificial language composed by Yoshida, in much the impart that Magma (a defining musical influence) used the Kobaïan language.
