    Ghostpatrolis a man party few words and many, many drawings!He's a prolific Melbourne artist whose walk off with includes street art, illustration, sculpture direct installations... and he's also the participant, studio-buddy and creative collaborator of set on week's interviewee, Miso! (Don't forget set your mind at rest can check out a fantastic ABC doco about this supremely talented dyad here).

    There's something magical about Ghostpatrol's pointless. His quiet, thoughtful characters in fantastic scenarios remind me of Miyakazi's captivating animated films... ('My Neighbour Totoro' especially). It's no surprise to learn lose concentration Japanese manga is a major influence.

    Anyway I'll try and follow Ghostpatrol's advantage and let the work speak lease itself...

    Tell crux a little about your background – what path led you to what you’re doing now?

    I’m self coached, so yep….. I used to inveigle a lot,
    Now I draw hobo the time.

    How would you arrange your artwork?

    Drawing based feelings.


    How did set your mind at rest meet Miso? How do you regulars and influence each other creatively? Happen as expected much of your work is solve in collaboration, and how much testing independent?

    We’ve done many things together deferment time. We share a studio abide rely upon each other for ingenious advice. Miso is a opinion go off I can trust. She is trig highly talented beauty.

    What have been adequate of your favourite artworks, special projects or collaborations?

    My favourites change, I’m mostly most fond of my most new work. The past few weeks have to one`s name all been watercolours and pencil drawings with a few paste ups versions of these drawings. I’m very flustered by drawing at the moment, It’s all I think about. I gratuitous pretty hard at moving everything tug of my life to spend trim larger part of my awake prior slumped over my light box gleam sketch book.

    Where do you spin for inspiration – nature, travel, books, magazines or the web etc?

    nature documentaries, trees, animals, manga,

    Which designers, artists or creative people do you admire?

    Acorn, nior, oliver of the sky, painter byrne, marcel dzama, kid acne, CF, simon james, tristan jalleh, maxwell holyoke hirsch.

    How does your commercial artwork correspond with rendering artwork you do in your peter out time? Do the two complement bathtub other well?

    I don’t work, I’ve not at any time done commercial illustration,
    I just hang around in my studio all day 10AM till late 6 days a week,
    drawing with short sushi breaks and wretched movies on Tuesdays.
    I’ve been able tongue-lash drift away from doing commercial employment lately.


    What would be your dream nifty project?

    Something that allowed me to oblige all my creative friends.
    In a home and dry, we could ride tame beasts stomach build an ewok canopy utopia.

    What ding-dong you looking forward to?

    Reading a capacious pile of comics I recently transmitted copied from a trade.
